Its exactly the same as the live server bit for bit. Especially if they reinforce the node the test is on. Then its literally the exact same enviroment as tq.
....
And you know this how? The development patches they introduce, are they same as TQ? No. Should they reinforce the node the test is on? Probably not, since lag also occurs in almost empty systems. Are unknown variables, such as DB performance due to the total number of players in the game, the same? No.
Honestly, mate. Please stop trolling.
But can you be a troll when you are even more clueless than a dead ****roach?

Originally by: Atticus Fynch The concept behind EVE is awesome. The implementation and maintenance sucks. And there is where we are stuck. We hope for light at the end of the tunnel, for the fulfillment of promises, so we stick around.
But if there had been another EVE-like MMO out there, I'd be out of here.
That is the ONLY reason EVE is so 'successfull' (if this is success then I sure hope no other company strives to be this good). Most MMO's fail because they have nothing new to bring to the world of MMO's and this is where EVE shines but the moment there's a decent competitor you'll see lag disappearing and Jita will never be conjested again.
You think this isn't possible? Look at Serenity and you'll see possibility because it's only a matter of when, not if.

I for one feel that i helped to build and shape this game just by taking part in it.
It will get fixed, you can bet your ass it will get fixed. Now stop being sheep and vote for the game we all love, trust me if you didn't love eve you would not be so angry now.
Why would anyone want hurt Eve!! She's so beautiful. Now be nice to her she loves you, you love her to don't you!

Originally by: oil Edited by: oil on 09/08/2010 15:42:39 if you think you can expect them to do what their customers want you are mistaken. after 18 months they may or may not be ready to launch the incrana stuff. after that they spend another half year ironing out its worst bugs, then they adjust their manpower to the vampire thing and dust and maybe the one or other guy goes to fixing eve. so we rather look at 2 or 3 years til they might consider rewriting the old code.
actually we might say the main manpower of ccp atm works on wod and its side product incarna. not the other way round.
Shanghai - Dust Newcastle - Dust Iceland - EVE/Incarna Whitewolf - WoD
I may be incorrect but CCP have got several projects running and they're independent of eachother. As far as I know the only way they overlap is WoD and Incarna. Incarna is a test for the WoD engine and it'd better be DX10/11 or else it's going to be the biggest waste of money ever, because they've been working on it since 2003-4.

*takes bait*
Answer to what?
Maybe to "Do you think it's justified to be awarded 'Best MMO' when serious technical issues (grid loading and black-screening) remain in game for more than one release cycle?" Or to "Do you think there is a correlation between quality of the product and customer satisfaction? And do you think there is a correlation between custom satisfaction and willingness to support a product/company as customer?" Or to "Do you think more than 2,000 supporting votes in an Assembly Hall thread calling for more "Excellence" is a sign of perceived lack of quality?" Or to "Do you think that the threadnaught following the CSM minutes and devblog provided a good situation to ask for your customers support?"
Now only if you knew as much about EVE as CCP does, after all it takes a lot of calculating, counting and spreadsheet viewing to come up with
Quote: It was mentioned by CCP that the data does not seem to support that polished quality sells better than new features.
And more votes for BF1943. My voting pattern will PROBABLY turn back to EVE, like
Quote: CCP stated that once Incarna and planetary interaction with its link to Dust are fully implemented, focus will probably shift far more towards improvement of existing features.
but I'll be too busy thinking about thinking about it. We're one of a kind CCPEE

Thanking Zeba for it's poorly constructed trolling?
CCP won't give an answer and that's not what this is about, this is about new customers reading CCP don't give a damn about the game and will never fix it bar irrelevant nonsense like implants showing on KM's. Who gives a damn, CCP do, because it's nearly at the bottom of irrelevant **** but important things won't get fixed because they're at the top of the list of priorities for players.
Now if only Zeba was a hundredth as good at trolling as CCP it'd deserve respect.

When it only effects a small minority of the game regardless of where that minority might stand in the view of the marketing department? Yup. Eve is sooooooooo much more than a blobby fleet fight.
The game is more than just blobby fights ill give you that. But the game is NOT fine and dandy beyond that please refer to my previous post regarding the system not loading in a 0.8 system with 30 or so people in it.
It sometimes takes me five attempts to log on before I finally see anything other than the beautiful black login screen, only to blacksceen when I undock and have to relog again. But Zebabear is right, all the random black screens with only 5 in system and the entire area empty, because everyone's playing WoT, means EVE is working as intended: pretending to work while getting you to pay for this product.
Zeba works for that third rate company CCP's hired to do their worthless propaganda?

Zeba's stats
Basically the answers YOU posted to the thread add nothing of value, and looking to your statistics it smells bad you have a "deep" knowledge of EVE being such a carebear. CCP's or 3rd party's alt spotted?
Disregarding the fact you oppose frontally with the general feeling here, please, do yourself a favour and stop trolling.
Zebabear is really bad at trolling because it ignores the fact that most people in 0.0 have one or more characters in empire, meaning that alot of the 80% in empire belong to 0.0 doing research, missioning, hauling, manufacturing etc. because it doesn't suit its vision of EVE.
Now it's either that Ankh that got booted off the CSM (to everyone's delight), some other ignorant fool living the Many Men Online fantasy, a CCP alt or works for that PR company CCP've hired to do what they are so horrible at.
Page 75 snipe and I can't wait for the results.

Your optimism is ... funny
Yeah, I know, I doubt Conan's going to win. I have no idea why I voted for that game but I correct the error by casting a vote for BF1943.
You'd have seen WoT win with a massive landslide if we could have voted for that

Yes? No? Maybe?
You forgot probably, though that means no anyway.
Go Zeba GO, try to salvage the unsalvageable with your expert knowledge on EVE! A single loss and kill make you the greateststestestst EVE expert around and we're in awe of your knowledge in regards to bugs, lack of features and lag. Now if only rocks gave you km's.

I fully understand you're only doing your job but you guys need to explain to the idiots at the top of the food chain that if they don't stop smocking crack they'll end up right at the bottom, like so many other failed MMO's.

Says the forum troll alt with zero kills and five losses with probably just over the starting sp on his alt so he could make the witty corp name. We all have our combat alts to go with our forum alts but this forum alt at least has nearly 80 mil sp to use as I wish be it perfect probing skills or full cap ship skills or literally flying anything minnie with complete max skills. Also I have plenty of kills on this character from the nullsec runs in a rapier with alt bomber accounts I used to do. But I don't ever post killmails as its just silly to give away free intel. Why not post killmails? Because then when people see you in local and look you up they all go 'oh its a carebear! lets kill him!' and then the trap is sprung. Besides, the tears from the forum trolls trying to use it against me is hilarious.
I actually managed to quote you because your posts are so horribly formatted a dead rodent could do a better job.
And you're wrong again, I don't have the starting SP, I have just over that by about 1000

They also have a dedicated team working on pi unlike other areas of the game like fleshing out fw etc etc which will get their turn in 18 months. So your point is?
They're not committing 100% of anything. The vast majority of devs are definitely not working on lag.
No point in arguing with Zeba, it's as stupid as it gets because the devblogs and CSM minutes already show how many devs are working on what but it keeps hammering on about the same inconsequential nonsense as always. It has no idea, it doesn't want to learn and it has no intentions of stopping being a fanboy.
It is either a dev succeeding at failing at damage control or it works for that PR company. Either way leave it be and let it argue with itself pointlessly because CCP's own data refute everything's it's said so far.
